Dr Jo Vandesompele is a professor of functional genomics and applied bioinformatics at Ghent University. He has written numerous ground-breaking publications on normalization of gene expression and real-time PCR data analysis, and co-authored the MIQE guidelines for publication of qPCR experiments.
