IDT will be participating in American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) conference 2020 virtually this year. Learn about our solutions for life sciences and medical research, serving the academic, clinical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, and agricultural research communities. IDT’s NGS products are a critical part of oncology research, inherited and infectious disease research, biomarker development, diagnostics, and early screening. The conference runs Oct. 27 through Oct. 30.
Research to Develop Clinical Genomics for a Pediatric Hospital Setting
Dr. Alisa Gaskell, Scientific Director, Children's Hospital Colorado
Register for the on-demand presentation.
The Precision Diagnostic Laboratory at Children’s Colorado established a broad test menu for comprehensive sequencing and analysis of cancers and rare inherited diseases in children. Understanding that sequencing technology must have a universal workflow, streamlined processes, flexible operations, and be cost effective to accommodate different sample types, we developed a universal chemistry for whole genome and targeted DNA and RNA sequencing. Cross-functional QC metrics inform probe performances across sample types, generating high-quality data. Streamlining the chemistry achieved the foundational goal of delivering systemic precision medicine in a clinically relevant time frame.
Dr Alisa Gaskell presents the assessment, modification, and implementation steps needed for a universal workflow; the audience are given insights into both technical and operational milestones.
