Predesigned rhAmp SNP Assays for SNPs in the human genome, including the lab-substantiated rhAmp ADME SNP Assays, do not require any BLAST analysis.
Also, newly discovered human SNPs with assigned rs numbers do not require BLAST analysis because the design tool will automatically perform checks for those designs.
For all other assays that are custom designed through entering a FASTA sequence, you will need to perform a BLAST analysis to confirm the specificity of the primers in the relevant genome. A link to the primer blast is located under the Actions pull-down menu in the rhAmp Genotyping Design Tool.
