Which Biotin modification should I select?

IDT offers several different options for Biotin modifications. For most applications, you will want either standard Biotin, which has a C6 spacer arm, or Biotin-TEG, which has an extended 15 atom tetra-ethyleneglycol spacer arm. The additional spacer arm length reduces steric hindrance when the bioin-modified oligo is to be attached to a solid surface, such as a streptavidin bead.
