How do I store Digoxigenin and Biotin labeled probes?
Digoxigenin is notorious for falling off the oligo even under the best conditions. Biotin tends to be a little more hardy, so careful storage can extend your shelf life. For both modifications, your best storage option is to store in a buffer at -20°C and make small aliquots so you are not constantly freezing and thawing your sample. If you can make one time use tubes, that is the best option.
